Awards & Scholarships
The mission of the Kaitlyn “Moe” Rosensteel Scholarship Foundation is to provide opportunities and resources for female soccer student athletes who show leadership, passion, character, academic excellence and love for the game of soccer, that translates into the pursuit of academic and athletic excellence into the collegiate level.

Moe Rosensteel Most Outstanding Player Award
The award is given annually to a Western PA, high school student athlete whose play, leadership and passion for the game emulates that of the award’s namesake, Moe.
The Moe Rosensteel Most Outstanding Player Award nominates players through a panel of coaches and media members. Those players who are nominated are then pared-down to three finalists. The panel then votes on the three finalists to determine the Player of the Year.
So far, we have awarded the Most Outstanding Player in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Congratulations to the 2023 Moe Rosensteel

2021 Kaitlyn “Moe” Rosensteel Scholarship Award Winners
2021 marked the inaugural year of the Kaitlyn “Moe” Rosensteel Scholarship. We are proud to announce two winners of this year’s award, with each receiving a $2000 scholarship.
Hannah Nelson of Greensburg Central Catholic, and Sydney Willig of Norwin are the inaugural scholarship recipients. They were honored May 25, 2021, at a ceremony at Gato Taco & Tequila in Irwin, PA.
There are several principles that we hold onto as part of who Moe was and how she lived. One of those principles is helping others get to where they want to go. Awarding Hannah and Sydney with the scholarships is helping two great young ladies get there.
Get Involved
Through various events, the Foundation fundraises to support and provide opportunities for student athletes to perform and play the game they love. The Foundation always can use volunteers.
